Organization
Godly Prayer for Peace Mission Nepal was established in 2003AD (BS2060-3-11)
with the aim of providing an opportunity for orphan, destitute, and
helpless children of Nepal.
Our mission
There are in excess of 10,000 children who are living on the street
of Nepal and deprived of there basic needs and rights. The future
of Nepal depends upon the mental, physical and intellectual growth
of it's children If the children are deprived of there basic needs,
they may rebel and harm the society, As a human being we each have
a responsibility to secure their basic needs and rights for the
mental, physical and the intellectual growth of all children for
the future improvement of the society.
To protect orphans, helpless and street children by secured orphanage
home and a separate school that would develop providing their mental
and intellectual capacity.
Provide medicine, primary health care and service to people who
are economically poor and unhealthy.
Promoting the children to become independent by developing their
social, mental and intellectual capability through proper education
and vocational and practical training.
To collect data of those people who are handicapped by birth,
old people, women, men etc and take initiation to give long life
protection through the concerned organization.
Coordinating and creating job opportunities for the children as
they grow upand leave the orphanage.
Conducting an advocacy campaign to educate Nepali society about
the care of orphaned and homeless children.
Our center
Our house, which currently gives accommodation to 15 children is
located in the Manamaizu Balaju Katmandu, in a rented house which
includes one study room, one kitchen, three bed room, and one working
lady room and two toilets.
Our work
GPPM Nepal fulfill its mission by providing:
- Provides protection at home 15 children and provides formal
education in school.
- Provides food, clothing, shelter and health care to 15 children
as well as special take care o below four years and small children.
- Necessary corrective medical treatment to qualified children
by quality institutions.
- The organization has been conducting moral education: creative
extracurricular activities like education for human life, dancing,
painting and quiz competition.
- Motivational activities like spiritual and human values are
being taught at the home.
- Providing shelter and create job for helpless women in home.
Plans for the future ::
Immediate
The GPPM Nepal is aiming to:
- Improving the living conditions of children under its care.
- Providing Nutritious food and provide good education to the
children staying at home.
Long-term
Our long-term plans include:
- To procure land and build a permanent residential complex for
the center..
- To establish and operate up to class five of primary schooling
within the premises of the center, and provide free education
to the poor and helpless children
- To operate vocational in-house training to make children proficient
in skills such as typing, sewing and knitting, computer operating
etc.
- To create a pool of qualified volunteers to better respond to
the needs of the children.
- To work in the partnership with NGO, INGO, and donor organization
to secure basic rights and needs of children
Our Legal status
GPPM Nepal is a non-governmental, non profitable organization registered
with the Social Service Council of Nepal, The District Administration
Office of Bagmati according to requirements in force at the time
of registration.
Since 2004, the Govt. Regulation requires all NGO/INGO and charity
organizations to register themselves with the Internal Revenue Dept
and in accordance with this directive GPPM Nepal are in the process
of registering with the IRD and obtaining the PAN No.
The General Body of comprises of its ordinary and life members.
All bonfide Nepalese citizens are eligible for GPPM membership by
completing the registration process. Non Nepalese citizens can be
invited to become Honorary Members in recognition of the contributions
to the center. The General Body elects Executive Committee every
two years. The Executive Committee is responsible for steering the
GPPM children home and planning its future course.
The members of the Executive Committee elect amongst themselves
Chairman, Vice Chairman and other Officials to delegate duties and
facilitate smooth functioning of the home Personalities with significant
contribution to the home or in Public Affairs can be invited to
the Executive Committee as well.
GPPM Nepal undergoes a statuary audit every year and this report
is submitted to the AGM.
Our History
In June 25, 2003 AD (B.S 2060-3-11) was established and registered
under the laws of Nepal. The initial establishment was a small rented
premise at Bungmati Latitpur and provided shelter to 10 helpless,
orphan children. The number later grew to 15.
2005 A.D Number of children at GPPM increased to 15 after moving
to new premises at Balaju Nepal tar Height Katmandu
- 2005 Mr. and Mrs. Ross and Brenda Hazelhood from Australia provide
cloths and jumpers to the children of the organization in upgrading
its facilities.
V.S.N started sending volunteer from different nation from the
year 2005, April and later on they also started providing school
supplies like stationeries, books, etc
From 2005, November. V.S.N is supporting GPPM by paying the house
rent.
Volunteer from V.S.N Nepal support to GPPM in providing more nourishing
diet, fruits, gas and vegetable to the children from May,7 2006. |
